"Nothing you do for children is ever wasted. They seem not to notice us, hovering, averting our eyes, and they seldom offer thanks, but what we do for them is never wasted."
-- Garrison Keillor

This Past February:

We had a wonderful time at our Valentine's Day Party! Thank you to all of the parents and teachers for your help. Ms. Ali's class had an interesting unit on dental hygiene, while Ms. Denise's students enjoyed presentations on several different countries including the Netherlands, Nepal, and South Korea. Ms. Crystal's class and Ms. Allison's class studied Black History Month. Ms. Rubina's kids studied plants. Ms. Anjali's students studied President's Day, and Ms. Tisa's kids learned about the life cycle of a lady bug. The students in Ms. Erin's class explored mixing colors and Ms. Malini's class talked about the meaning of friendship and community.

Upcoming March Events:

  • March 13th - 17th: Spring Break
  • What better way to celebrate the coming of spring than spending quality time with family and friends? We wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable holiday!

  • Friday, March 10th: Green Day
  • St. Patrick's Day falls during Spring Break, so let's celebrate the holiday a little early by wearing green, bringing a green show and tell, and packing some green food in our lunch boxes.

Why the Montessori Method?

Discovery

There are few things that come more naturally to children than the desire to discover and explore. It is part of what defines us as human beings. It is what motivates us to cross oceans and race into space, and what drives us to become artists and scientists and teachers. In a Montessori environment we encourage this natural ability to discover, and foster opportunities where students are able to follow their interests down a multitude of paths. Confidence is achieved when students learn that their passion for discovery will translate into accomplishment.
