"And so we discovered that education is not something which the teacher does, but that it is a natural process which develops spontaneously in the human being."
-- Maria Montessori

This Past July...

From Splash day to Ball day, we had so much fun on Fridays this past month! Ms. Ali's class studied Canada and the 2012 Olympics. Ms. Denise's class learned about their 5 senses and also celebrated the Olympics with a parade and a medal ceremony. Ms. Sunita's class discussed the parts of a cow and Brazil. Ocean Life was explored in Ms. Sharika's class along with primary and secondary colors. Ms. Malini's class learned about tools and machines and discovered different fruits. In Ms. Erin's class they studied the germination of a seed and practiced taking turns. Our reading contest was a huge success! Ms. Ali, Ms, Denise, Ms. Sunita, and Ms. Sharika's classes did a great job and read a ton of books. The final results will be announced in the next newsletter so stay tuned.
