January 2014

For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice.

This Past December:

We hope that everyone had a fantastic holiday, full of family, friends, food and many happy memories. Everything came together wonderfully for the big Holiday Program. Thank you again to all the students, teachers and parents for their hard work!

This December, Ms. Erin’s students had a lot of fun making their own red-nosed Rudolphs and Ms. Malini’s children learned the difference between hot and cold. Ms. Sunita’s children took a tour of the continents, Ms. Lindsey’s class did an interesting experiment on freezing and melting, and Ms. Rubina’s children visited chilly Antarctica. Ms. Denise’s students enjoyed playing the dreidel game as they learned about Hanukkah, while Ms Crystal’s class baked delicious holiday cookies. Ms. Ali’s class learned about different winter festivals.

We hope the upcoming year is joyful for you and your family! Happy 2014!

Why the Montessori Method?

Of all the gifts that we receive in life, encouragement seems to be one of the greatest. It often makes the difference between failure and success, between giving up and pushing through. The simplest words of encouragement may seem small, but this kind of attention enables children to learn with confidence in their own innate potential. And once they have that kind of confidence they can continue learning and mastering without comparison and competition with their peers.
