July 2015

"Those who won our independence believed liberty to be the secret of happiness and courage to be the secret of liberty."
-- Louis D. Brandeis

This Past June:

June marked the start of our summer season and we had plenty of activities to celebrate. Ms. Malini’s children learned about the ocean and Ms. Erin’s class studied different types of insects. Ms. Tisha’s students learned about the sun, Ms. Sunita’s class studied the different seasons, and Ms, Rubina’s students enjoyed discovering the life cycle of a ladybug. We ended the month with a few celebration shows! Ms. Ali's, Ms. Denise's, Ms. Tamara's and Ms. Crystal's classes worked very hard and did an amazing job with their 4th of July performances.

Independence Day

Independence Day is more than a chance for family and friends to gather for barbecues and fireworks displays; it is an annual celebration to commemorate the courage and faith of our founding fathers in their pursuit of liberty. We hope that everyone enjoys their holiday! Happy birthday, America!

Summer Reading Contest

Last year the children together read more than 1,000 books! This year buildings 1903 and 1905 will challenge their children to read even more books. The contest will officially end on Friday, July 31st. Good luck, students!

Why the Montessori Method?...

Meeting the Needs of Your Child

The Montessori Method is a hands-on, prepared environment that is always growing at a child's own pace. A Montessori environment is an attempt, in an orderly fashion, to meet the multiple needs of each child and the needs of different types of children. Educating children in an atmosphere where their need for time, space, support, and stimulation can be met is just one of the many benefits of the Montessori Method.
